There are verses throughout the Bible that connect the Old and New Testaments. It is such a joy to see so plainly how God has been working with mankind since creation. He never gives up. If you are spiritually dead he would heal you if you only open your eyes and ears to his Word.

Acts 28:23-28
When they had appointed a day for him, they came to him at his lodging in greater numbers. From morning till evening he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets.
And some were convinced by what he said, but others disbelieved.
And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: “The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:

“‘Go to this people, and say,“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’

Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

  1. Great verses. It brings one back to the parable of the sower. The result is that one in four allow the message to transform their lives in this present age. Thank you for the verses

  2. man can't open his own eyes................KJV- Mark 10:26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

    And

KJV 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  3. Intellectual curiosity vs Spiritual curiosity. The thirst for knowledge is empowered by the Holy Spirit in those who seek Him. "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." (NLT)
