I find this so comforting. I've come to believe that I really never know what I'm doing. The idea that the Spirit knows my innermost pain and intercedes for me is one of the most hopeful things I've ever read.

Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

  1. How true. We think we know what we need and desire but in actuality God knows us better than we know ourselves. One question-why does it say Spirit and not Holy Spirit ? To me without the Holy part being there, it is a mis-translation. Holy Spirit I praise Thee.

  2. I am so thankful to have found your beautiful blog. Our family always admired Britt Hume & appreciated his stand for conservative values. We have missed his regular presence on Special Report. (But his choice of Brett Bair was a really good one.) We believed there was a side of Brit Hume that we hoped came from a Christian worldview. Now we see the person beside the man and it all works together for good!
