I hope I have come to my senses because Im really eager to escape from the snare. Freedom is all important. It allows one to "have nothing to do with foolish controversies" and to "not be quarelsome."

2 Timothy 2:22-26
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.
And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,
and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

  1. Youthful lusts are not only sexual, but also impetuous character flaws, impatience, contentiousness, favoritism, egotism, intolerance. Righteousness requires the pursuit of content of character. Wisdom, maturity, realizes that removing self from temptation takes courage. often can be the most courageous action to take. Knowing when to run is important in spiritual battle. @larrygrowe

  2. True. Very brave act of courage to choose good character and it's a great incentive to fight temptations. Quarreling and entering into controversies is a great temptation for me. Very challenging post and wise comment- "knowing when to run is important in spiritual battle". Thanks!
