Greed is a desire for excess gain, excess anything. From Middle English, excess is ecstasy, a loss of self-possession. Greed is the complete rejection of private conscience! Greed rises by first breaking the 10th conscience on coveting, followed by #9 bearing false witness, to #8 lying, rising to disregard of parents, sabbath, and God. Never satisfied, never content!
Greed is not merely seeking money and wealth! Greed is a disposition lacking conscience! PRO 29:7, "An evil man’s moral conception is perverted, he cannot distinguish between right and wrong; the light that was in him has become darkness!" @larrygrowe
