I have escaped the snare for the moment, but I appreciate being frail as a bird. It reminds me I have help from the creator of the universe. My frailty is completely manageable with a resource like that.

Psalm 124:7-8

We have escaped like a bird
  from the snare of the fowlers;
  the snare is broken,
  and we have escaped.
Our help is in the name of the Lord,
  who made heaven and earth.

  1. The fearful vulnerable little sparrow is an apt likeness for weak emotional people, easily snared. People of God are like little birds, harmless and innocent! But, also weak! Enemies are subtle, spiteful, and stealth! Evil beasts know their prey, surviving, laying snares to possess talents of others, and to redistribute fruits.

    Bad companions can attract us into a net! Love of dainties entice us! Hunger and fright drives us to center of a flock. The Message is that only when we live in the center of GOD's kingdom do we remain free. @larrygrowe

    Holy Spirit is the source of curiosity that entered my life at age 40' in 1972, then an empty Corp Treasurer, traveling empty Wall Street. Spiritual law at worldly high! Your post adds new dots, linking to many provoked old stored ones. @larrygrowe
