Tear your heart, not your garments. Yes that thing in your chest behind the skin, behind the protective bones. "Return to me." You can't hide, he's known you since the womb. He wants you back. Give the core of your being 100%. The only thing you have to lose is eternal life.

Joel 2:12-13
“Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
and rend your hearts and not your garments.
”Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster.

  1. Genuine changing of the mind is the instant turning of the willpower, to God in a state of mind of deep sorrow. This redirecting the mind must be Immediate, sincere, inward, and sorrowful. Intense sorrow because time has been lost for a better life, because it has weakened the moral manhood! Time is our most valuable commodity, not to be a calamity, self-destroyed by waste. @larrygrowe

  2. I wasted 1/4th my 81 year life, the entire 2nd quarter. Job 11:17 speaks of noonday devil, that time between age 18 and 80 when we come to ourselves. I have lived your posts. They are more than words, but reminders not to slack off, which is easy to do in our world of diminishing morality, to the highest levels. @larrygrowe
