David, thank you for the poetry. Salvation does shield us and our path becomes larger. Trust it, it will keep your feet from slipping.

2 Samuel 22:36-37
“You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
   Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me;
   So my feet did not slip.

  1. "He will shelter you with his pinions, and under his wings you may take refuge; his faithfulness is a protecting shield.
    You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day,
    Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon.
    Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come." (Psalm 91:2-7)

    Almighty God is our rock, and though life will not be without challenges, when things get rough we can take comfort in meditating on His promise of ultimate salvation.

    My regards

  2. "Salvation does shield us." Well said, Kim. The Apostle Paul exhorted us to wear the "helmet of salvation."
