What if we stopped foolish controversies? We might have more time to do what is important: getting closer to God and studying the map for life He provides in the Holy Bible.

Titus 3:9-11 - But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

  2. If one were to peruse the comment section of just about any story posted on the Charisma website, you'll find some of the nastiest comments to be found on the interwebs. Now I realize why Jesus prayed the following in John 17:21 "... that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me."

    1. I just ran across this commentary by James Moffat on James 3:14 “Religious people my be extremely provoking, and defeat their own ends by overbearing methods; right views and sound counsels may lose their effect if they are expressed by men who are self-seeking partisans or unscrupulous controversialists.”
