Being a believer is not for the faint of heart, but it is about freedom. Let us not give up our freedoms without a fight, "gird yourself."

Acts 12:7-8
Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.
Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.”

  1. When you think religion, think private conscience! Liberal politics demonizes the word "religion"at every opportunity hiding its true realities, the God-given-right to "freedom of conscience". The Supreme Court again ruled that individuals by starting a private property business do not have to surrender their fundamental constitutional individual "freedom of conscience".

Freedom of conscience is the matrix, the indispensable condition and precursor and progenitor of other liberties including freedom of property ownership, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression. It is a core value of western world and nearly all democratic constitutions protect these freedoms.

The Bill of Rights contains the famous guarantee in the First Amendment that laws may not be made that interfere with religion (conscience) or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The United Nations' Human Rights Committee does not permit any limitations whatsoever on the freedom of thought and conscience or on the freedom to have or adopt beliefs of one's choice.

"For why should my freedom be judged by another's conscience?" 1 Corinthians 10:29. That is a two edged sword of lady justice.

    1. Two edged indeed. That's why the command to 'gird yourself' is so apt.

  2. Freedom is the FREE Will that separates us from the animal kingdom.

Freedom of conscience is the basis of all our Freedoms without it there is no Freedom or Liberties.

I was happy to see that we are still somewhat a Country of the Freedom of Religion not just the Freedom of worship our current Government espouses throughout the World and the USA. on Sunday talk shows. The LIBERAL vitriol is evident that they want a godless government and a public life that is freedom FROM religion.

God Bless us that we may have the COURAGE to keep up the fight in your name!

    1. Courage comes from deep within, and it isn't running into burning buildings. It is making a choice: life or death. Choose life and let God help you with the rest. Something so frail as government doesn't have a chance in a country full of people who have courageously chosen to live free. But do we have such a country now?
I'll pray for courage for all of us Americans. We need help.
