My family is in a quiet crisis: my brother assaulted by illness and fear of death. Dread barely describes it. Yet a promise is a promise. God is present.
Deuteronomy 7:21
Have no dread of them, for the Lord your God, who is present with you, is a great and awesome God.
Be comforted: Love and Mercy of God have no limits. But even if the time comes to return to God the Creator, one should have hope & bless God for His judgment {John 11:25-26}. Praying about you and your loved one, and wishing you all the best! Best regards, Alice-Sofia
Earlier, I commented on your blog by Twitter and immediately erased my comment. So here goes again: I too had a brother who was fearful of death to the point I had to travel to Pennsylvania from an urgent request my sisterinlaw. He was born again and filled with the Spirit, yet fear was consuming him.
I want you to know there is hope for him. Ist John 1:9: "If you confess your sins he is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Fear is the opposite of faith and is considered a sin. The Word declares "there is no fear in love for perfect love casts out fear" (1st John 4:8). Now I want to let you
know that God's Word is alive. Pray with your brother using 1st John 1:9 and have him confess all the fears he has about death one by one ( he can whisper these fears to God). You will see an immediate result. He must be saved that is the only prerequisite. My brother prayed in this manner and God gave him wonderful peace. He died not fearing death and in peace.
I have been in a ministry for 41 years helping Christians to get free of all sorts of things that hindered their walks with God. I am just another Christian who wanted to be free from all the following: Freedom from fears, guilt, perfection, unforgiveness, etc. I have seen abused women by their own fathers become completely free. I only tell you this so you can see that the Word of God is truly alive. I base the ministry God gave to me on 1Jh. 1:9 and "If the son therefore shall make you free you shall be free indeed". My heart is with you. Praying for you & your brother.
