Blood and guts, animal sacrifice, REALLY? It all seems so awful, irrelevant and archaic. Thank God, Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice who made all that other stuff meaningless.

Leviticus 3:7-8
If he offers a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before the Lord,
lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it in front of the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar.

    The sacrifice of animals was never a need for God, but for Man to Thank God for that clean animal to be eaten with knowledge of its provision for flesh to flesh..
