Matthew 10:37-38
Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

This is red letter harsh! But I so want to be worthy. I know for a fact humans will wound you to the core whether you are related to them or not. God heals, restores, loves without bound. He never lets you down.
