And yet, we can hold it in our hands and not be burned and not be broken. Through the Bible, God’s word enlightens us and make us whole.

Jeremiah 23:29
Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

  1. Here in Canada, I am blessed by your blog. (Also enjoy Brit's comments on FOX. Had the pleasure of hearing him, with Chuck Colson, when they were together at my, and Chuck's, church in Naples, FL a few years ago.) Now need prayer that my health problems won't keep me back in Canada and away from my church family in Naples this winter. Look forward to your next blog. Blessings, sister in Christ.

  2. " Through the Bible, God’s word enlightens us and make us whole." So true! I've been listening to Charles Stanley for many years and he once said he tried going without reading God's word for a week, as an experiment of sorts. He said he could feel himself "getting cooler towards the things of God" as the week went on, getting progressively worse. Matthew 4:4 equates reading scripture to eating; with one we're feeding our body and the other our spirit. I'm glad C.S. tried that because I certainly wouldn't want to at this point in life.
@Marina...I'll pray that your health improves quickly and thoroughly.
