This Pharisee was no dope. He told the temple leaders to leave the Apostles alone. I have always thought the best argument for Christianity is the fact that it is still around after a couple thousand years. If it were not true it would have died out a long time ago.

Acts 5:38-39

And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing;
but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”
