But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,
and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord;
and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
Evil vs enemies. A lot of evil out there in this world. People who perpetuate evil acts do not deserve forgiveness. Where do we draw the line between evils acts that can be forgiven and those that cannot? I find this difficult to comprehend.
ReplyDeleteGod forgives his enemies and persecutors.Even as we openly reject him through our sins Christ still stands ready to love us Like the prodigal son. Our problem is not letting GOD Love us by not letting Go and Loving ourselves and accepting that GOD has forgiven us.
DeleteGod gives us little commands to not control us but to protect us from ourselves. We are instructed by Jesus himself to turn the other Cheek.Don't rush to anger & retaliation. Firstly he ask that we Love him with all our heart and Mind. with this continuos act living our life in fulfillment of his wishes we will receive sanctifying grace to help us in times of temptation. Christ according to St Gertrude speaks to us 100 plus times a day with small messages of recognition and encouragement... to hear God we need some quiet time to better ascertain what he wants.
Christ says we are made in his image and likeness. That is why he became Flesh to dwell among us.. he wants us to reflect his love & Charity of kindness in actions words and deeds. He asks simply to Love your neighbor as yourself.. Difficult but worthy of trying to succeed in your daily trials of LIFE.
I was at an abortion Clinic and the Abortionist wife didn't like that we were praying she came out to her car and she saw me and spit in my face. Luckily I had no reaction upon leaving her car returning to the Office she spat again and a policeman supervising our prayer vigil offered to arrest her. I told him she isn't worthy of wasting my time. Then she lost it in a demonic rage. We continued praying. Last year that Clinic was closed and the Abortionist and his wife Jailed with no help from me. That strength was all with the help of Jesus Christ!

ReplyDeleteChris said the same thing of his crucifiers while on the cross: forgive them father, for they know not what they do. I The Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men.
