The laws of nature are unbreakable, dead is dead. When those rules are broken, we know God is at work: His plan, His purposes, His timing.

John 11:1-4
Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.

Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”
When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

We need every judge and leader in America to read this passage. We are a great people, God created us after all. We need leaders who can discern between good and evil. It would please The Lord.

1 Kings 3:9-10
Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”
The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

The things we are most helpless to change are the very things God uses to show himself. Be open to miracles. God is never helpless to change anything about us, including our blindness.

John 9:1-3
Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.
And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

David, thank you for the poetry. Salvation does shield us and our path becomes larger. Trust it, it will keep your feet from slipping.

2 Samuel 22:36-37
“You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
   Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me;
   So my feet did not slip.

"The Father is seeking such to worship Him." We have instructions from the highest authority, let's just follow them.

John 4:23-24

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Here it is again. A glimpse of the future Savior from God to King David. I can't wait to see his throne.

2 Samuel 7:12-13
“When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.
He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Alert, this is a little political: In our divisive politics today, "born again" is sometimes used disdainfully. Often by politicians who are trying to figure out which way the wind is blowing.

John 3:5-8
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

This is a red letter prediction of the most important event in history. Of course they misunderstood. They were into laws and buildings, not the real temple of God.

John 2:19-21

Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”
But He was speaking of the temple of His body.

What a promise! If we believe, then follow him as his disciple Nathanael did, this red letter promise is for us too. How cool is that?

John 1:51
And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

I broke down in tears yesterday singing Amazing Grace. God gives steadfast love to both the wounded and the joyful. He asks for our praise and he asks for our obedience. Need a refuge? Sing and obey.

Psalm 59:16-17
But I will sing of your strength;
  I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the   morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
  and a refuge in the day of my distress.
O my Strength, I will sing praises to you,
  for you, O God, are my fortress,
  the God who shows me steadfast love.

"Then he opened their minds"... This is why I read the Bible every day. My mind is opened and I understand more and more. We've been given the gift of the Holy Spirit, I for one, love tapping that gift.

Luke 24:44-45
Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,

We all have a refuge. And when we ask, God will send forth "His mercy and His truth." Sounds like a good deal to me!

Psalm 57:1-3
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! my soul trusts in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge,
Until these calamities have passed by.

I will cry out to God Most High,
To God who performs all things for me.

He shall send from heaven and save me;
He reproaches the one who would swallow me up.
Selah
God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.

For dear Rebecca. You may have lost your husband but you may walk in the light of life.

Psalm 56:12-13
I must perform my vows to you, O God;
I will render thank offerings to you.
For you have delivered my soul from death,
yes, my feet from falling,
that I may walk before God
in the light of life.

My dear friend Ken, you have your wings now, "be at rest."

Psalm 55:4-6
My heart is in anguish within me;
  the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
Fear and trembling come upon me,
  and horror overwhelms me.
And I say, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
  I would fly away and be at rest;
