If you overlay these instructions on to 21st Century issues you will find God's wisdom guiding you in your actions big and small.

Exodus 23:1-5
“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.
You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice,
nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.
“If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him.
If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.

  1. The Hebrew laws of Jesus presumes the equality of all citizens, and that any retribution for any offense is not to be hindered or magnified by class or wealth. Jesus tells us that the integrity of justice reaches out not only to the poor, and with fairness and responsibility. It is not about we gain, but what we lose. Buddha was asked what he gained by meditation. "Nothing, but I lost, anger, anxiety, depression, insecurity, fear of age and death!" @larrygrowe
