It stunned me when I first read the bible through how the basis of our legal system is so consistent with these judgments set out in Exodus. Do many people remember the beginning of this famous verse starts with "a woman with child."
Exodus 21:22-25
“If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life,
eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

Just read this in my reading today. I am on my seventh year reading the Bible cover to cover. I still find nuggets that I missed before. Glad to see you sticking to God's word. I do appreciate your husband's comments on FOX when he makes appearances. Ron Turner
