Pope Gregory XVI's 1832 encyclical "Mirari Vos; Liberalism and Religious Indifferentism" wrote to the breakdown of private conscience. Indifferentism spreads ruin in both sacred and civil affairs. Liberalism historically has been the dividing secular force.
ReplyDeleteLiberal "crowd" religion has no sacred writings, no authorized interpreters, no one truth from one God. Their truth and falsehood is a matter of opinion, one doctrine as good as another. Liberalism is a religion collecting all resources of like minds towards a single minded abstract sentiment. The crowd demands a god, a golden calf idol before anything else. Crowds, absent substance of faith, change their self-indulgences frequently and with ease. @larrygrowe
